About The Position

The Lead Cashier at Mother’s Market supports front-end operations by providing exceptional customer service while assisting with daily supervision of cashier team members. This role helps ensure smooth register operations, accurate transactions, and a welcoming checkout experience. The Lead Cashier serves as a role model for Mother’s Market values and supports leadership in maintaining efficient, friendly, and organized front-end operations.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous cashier or customer service experience required
Supervisory or lead experience preferred
Strong communication and customer service skills
Basic math skills and attention to detail
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays

Responsibilities

Provide friendly, efficient, and accurate customer service at the register
Support daily front-end operations and assist with opening and closing procedures
Help train, coach, and support cashier team members
Assist with register balancing, cash handling, and transaction accuracy
Address customer questions and assist with issue resolution as needed
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout and front-end areas
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and cash-handling standards
Support leadership in managing lines, breaks, and workflow
Promote Mother’s Market values, including wellness, sustainability, and community
Work collaboratively with store leadership and team members
