About The Position

Quantem Aviation Services is a premier aircraft handling provider offering cargo warehousing, mail handling, ramp handling, terminal services, and GSE fuel supply and maintenance services. A Lead is a subject matter expert who coaches, motivates and guides operational work performed by their peers. Leads are responsible for monitoring and reporting any extraordinary performance or deviations from operational standards. As a cargo agent, you will assist customers during the shipping and handling process by expediting and routing movement of incoming and outgoing cargo and freight shipments for air transportation.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Must be at least 18 years old
A valid driver’s license is required for this position
Maintain and treat all information as confidential
Possess the tact to deal with all levels of employees and client representatives
Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English
Must be able to verbally direct in English

Nice To Haves

Previous shipping experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Builds up and breaks down cargo pallets and freight containers following guidelines
Ensures all company and customer safety standards are met and maintained
Identifies cargo that does not meet customer or company standards and or guidelines
Organizes freight within the warehouse according to the base storage plan
Properly and safely loads and unloads freight
