Full-Time Lead Care Staff

The primary responsibility of the Lead Care Staff is to assume basic responsibilities of the Resident Services Director (RSD) and Assistant Resident Services Director (ARSD) in their absence. The Lead Care Staff would assume such responsibilities as overall guidance and supervision of Care Staff to include such tasks as scheduling, handling call-offs, documentation compliance, coordination with outside medical personnel, checking flow sheets, and other related duties.
Requirements
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- Minimum one (1) year experience with senior adults.
- Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant and possess current Medication Training certification, and be in good standing with the state licensing or certifying agency.
- Certification in CPR and first aid required.
- Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.
- The Community is a drug free workplace; associates are subject to adherence to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems a plus.
- Teamwork and good listening skills are essential.
Responsibilities
- In the absence of Resident Services Director, act as shift supervisor.
- Monitor compliance with regard to Care Staff procedures to assure high quality levels of service to residents.
- In conjunction with RSD, schedule associates.
- Follow normal Care Staff responsibilities along with fellow coworkers.
- Assist with and/or complete Medication Assistant responsibilities as needed.
- During the shift assigned to this position, take all call-offs, and find appropriate coverage.
- Ensure that all documentation is correct and complete prior to the end of assigned shift.
- Monitor apartments for clutter and safety issues.
- Work with other departments to assure the Community and apartments are presentable for tours.
- Train and advise Care Staff as directed by the RSD/ARSD.
