The Lead Care Manager at Sunrise Senior Living plays a pivotal role in ensuring that quality care and services are provided to residents in our care neighborhoods. This position involves leading a team of Care Managers, also referred to as Designated Care Managers, during shifts to ensure that all care is delivered in accordance with each resident's Individualized Service Plan (ISP) and Sunrise policies. The Lead Care Manager is responsible for supervising the team, providing guidance, and ensuring that all documentation of care is accurate and consistent. This role requires a commitment to fostering a supportive and caring environment for both residents and team members, emphasizing the importance of doing what is right for the residents. In this position, the Lead Care Manager will take on various responsibilities, including managing attendance, addressing call-offs, and supporting team members in providing Activities of Daily Living (ADL) care. This includes assisting residents with bathing, grooming, personal hygiene, and other daily activities. The Lead Care Manager will also play a crucial role in meal service, ensuring that hospitality standards are met and that residents are encouraged to participate in life enrichment programming. Additionally, the Lead Care Manager will be responsible for monitoring compliance with timekeeping policies and ensuring that team members take appropriate breaks. The Lead Care Manager will also participate in crossover meetings to share important information with other Lead Care Managers and will be expected to carry a resident group assignment during overnight shifts. This position may require flexibility in scheduling, including working weekends and holidays, to ensure that all shifts are adequately covered. The Lead Care Manager will also be involved in onboarding new team members and will contribute to performance reviews by providing feedback on care managers. Overall, this role is essential in maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents and staff, while promoting a culture of quality care and support.
