This position performs MRI exams and procedures on patients of all ages while maintaining patient safety, assumes lead technical responsibilities including oversight of cardiac MRI, and manages administrative duties such as triaging patients, scheduling, coordinating workflow, and overseeing day-to-day operations. A caregiver in this position works days, 7:00am—3:30pm or 8:00am—4:30pm. No calls, weekends, or holidays.

Requirements

  • Must have one of the following: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology, graduate of an accredited school in Sonography or Radiation Therapy, or possess a Bachelor's Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or certification from CAHEA approved Nuclear Medicine Technology training program.
  • Must be a Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT), or R.T.(S)(ARRT), or R.T.(T)(ARRT), in good standing OR must be a Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(N) (ARRT) in good standing OR be a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
  • Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging: R.T.(MR)(ARRT).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
  • Ability to direct, evaluate and supervise others.
  • Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and related pathologic processes.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, schedule, train, counsel, and evaluate assigned personnel under Clinical Manager direction; assist with hiring and payroll as needed.
  • Maintain procedure manuals and ensure staff compliance with policies, local/state/federal laws, and credentialing standards (e.g., ACR, MQSA, Medicare, FDA).
  • Oversee quality assurance, instrument calibration, and equipment maintenance to meet safety and regulatory standards.
  • Provide technical guidance on complex cases, radiation safety training, and ensure patient care quality.
  • Prepare and screen patients for MRI procedures, including questionnaire review, safety validation, venipuncture, contrast administration, and patient education.
  • Perform MRI procedures, daily quality assurance, image acquisition, archiving, transmission, and troubleshooting equipment or software issues.
  • Assist with patient scheduling and billing processes; ensure high equipment uptime for accessibility.
  • Mentor new hires and students, participate in ongoing training, and rotate through imaging modalities and sites as needed.
