Arconic Inc.’s Tennessee Operations is seeking a Capital Projects Engineer for our Central Engineering Group. The incumbent will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Tennessee Operations capital budget and providing engineering support for various projects across the plant site. The successful incumbent will also provide technical solutions to recurring design, process and application problems. This is a key role with specific accountability for planning and managing the site capital priorities, project portfolio, evaluating risk, and capital spending forecasts. This person will also develop, manage, and implement capital projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ engineering experience in manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross functional engineering and operations teams.
  • Experience in justifying, managing and installing capital projects.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience and working knowledge of manufacturing processes and principles, equipment and components to include, facilities and industrial infrastructure, cranes, electrical power systems, control systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, etc.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project leadership and engineering, equipment specification, project scope development, estimating and project financial controls.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in equipment repair and replacement analysis, engineering economics, and capital project investment analysis.
  • Minimum of 2 years of AutoCAD or similar CAD software experience.
  • Working knowledge of heavy industrial equipment and infrastructure.
  • Broad engineering, operations, and maintenance background.
  • Strong engineering and technical leadership skills.
  • Experience and understanding of world class manufacturing techniques, Lean, and Continuous Improvement.
  • Strong problem solving and creative thinking skills.
