About The Position

The Lead Business Functional Analyst will play a crucial role in managing functional requirements for a complex payments system within Deutsche Bank. This position involves collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure that development activities align with the product vision, particularly in the Payments domain. The role emphasizes a hands-on approach in an Agile environment, focusing on transforming high-volume applications and mentoring junior analysts.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience as a hands-on Business Functional Analyst in the Payments domain within a similar sized financial services organization.
  • Expert level understanding of Payments area including domestic/cross border payment processing, ISO20022 and/or MT, and T2/EBA clearings systems.
  • Self-motivated with the flexibility to work autonomously and in virtual teams, appreciating different cultures during collaboration.
  • Experience organizing and leading workshops focused on requirements gathering, analysis, and refinement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage functional requirements in partnership with Business stakeholders, SMEs, Operations, Architecture, and delivery leads.
  • Understand the product vision and ensure development activities reflect that vision.
  • Work in an Agile environment to support the design and conceptualization of new business solutions, identifying risks and impacts.
  • Research and collaborate to provide needed clarifications on requirements to team members, ensuring items in the Product Backlog meet the Definition of Done.
  • Define testing requirements and work with engineers to prioritize, troubleshoot, and resolve reported bugs and issues.
  • Drive data discovery, sourcing, modelling, and analytics to support the creation of data flows and models.
