About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Lead, Business Development to join our team, focusing on tradeshow marketing and communications . The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing business development activities. This includes organizing tradeshows, gathering and analyzing competitive intelligence, and managing budgets for BD activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant business development, communications or marketing experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related business development, communications or marketing experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related business development, communications or marketing experience.
  • Up to 15% bussiness travel.
  • Ability to obtain U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute participation in industry tradeshows, conferences, and events.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and manage event schedules, budgets, and logistics.
  • Coordinate with communications organization to develop cohesive tradeshow & conference marketing materials
  • Ensure that marketing materials are effectively presented and distributed during events.
  • Track and analyze leads generated through tradeshows and report on ROI.
  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  • Gather and analyze competitive intelligence to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Maintain and update a comprehensive database of competitor information.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on competitive analysis.
  • Develop and manage budgets for business development activities and projects.
  • Monitor expenses to ensure alignment with budgetary guidelines.
  • Work with finance teams to forecast budgets and track financial performance.
  • Provide regular budget reports and analysis to senior management.
