About The Position

Position: Lead Building Administrative Assistant Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 hours/day with 30 minute unpaid, 12 Months Start Date: January 2026 Pay: $32.48/hour per the Clerical Labor Agreement Benefits: Medical, Dental, Life and Paid Time Off in accordance with the Clerical Summary of Benefits

Requirements

  • Associate/technical degree or equivalent of high school diploma plus three plus years of progressive nutrition service and/or administrative experience.
  • Communicates verbally in a clear, concise, professional manner. Communicates clearly and concisely in written communication. Excellent reading and comprehension skills, excellent grammar in both written and oral communication. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence as assigned. Ability to speak effectively to individuals and group audiences.
  • Ability to make computations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Proficiency with computers and related software/hardware. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, associates, administrators and community members.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with staff, students, and parents.

Responsibilities

  • Support District Nutrition Service Staff.
  • Provide customer service to administration, staff, parents, and community members. This includes responding to telephone, mail, and email requests promptly and accurately.
  • Process Application for Educational Benefits applications with strict attention to compliance of state regulations, data integrity and confidential protocols.
  • Compile and submit monthly meal reimbursement claims for federal and state funding.
  • Assist with creating and distributing annual student and staff account balances and PINs. Complete all necessary refund checks with UFARS coding.
  • Complete purchase order requisitions in the district's finance system and process department invoices in conjunction with the Accounts Payable department.
  • Process Accounts Payable & Receivable documentation.
  • Supports department and site needs related to food, menus, vendor credits, product additions, and entitlement tracking.
  • Order and maintain office supplies for the department and district kitchens. Assist with other ordering tasks as assigned.
  • Manage licensing requirements for all district sites, ensuring compliance with health department regulations.
  • Collaborate with district staff on the design and printing of marketing materials and signage for school and department-wide initiatives.
  • Perform nutrition service job duties to support kitchen staffing needs.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Nutrition Services Manager.
