About The Position

Tioga Downs is hiring for a Lead Buffet Line Attendant who will be responsible for the presentation of all foods utilized on buffet line, ensuring the efficiency of the line. As a Lead, you would train new employees, plan and assign areas and breaks on your scheduled shift, and ensure standards and cleanliness of work area are met or exceeded to deliver an excellent guest experience! ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Communications liaison for line attendants to back of house Cooks. Monitor the line to ensure food is filled per guidelines, temped and the space is clean. Ensure guests have an exceptional experience by maintaining the line to company standards. Relay guest compliments and/or complaints to management in order to reduce waste, increase revenue and increase customer service. Train new buffet line attendants on job duties and to fit with our company culture. Performs as a team member with Lead Line Cooks, Line Cooks, Dishwashers, Supervisors, Chefs, Servers, Utilities, and pertinent company Associates in producing a smoothly and efficiently run operation on a scheduled shift. Ability to carve meats and prepare desserts, Salad Bar items as needed.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of three months’ kitchen experience required.
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • Ability to stand for their entire shift, walking, listening, speaking and smelling.
  • Frequently using wrist motion, dexterity, and eye-hand coordination, reaching, twisting and balancing.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., and occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
