About The Position

Embr Dispensary is looking for a full-time Lead Budtender to join our team! Open availability including days, nights, weekends and holidays are required. Job Summary The Retail lead is responsible for day-to-day operations of the dispensary including leading a dynamic team, establishing strong relationships with cultivation and production representatives, inventory control, and customer service while staying compliant with State laws, rules, and regulations. Retail Lead will also be excellent communicators liaising with all levels of the organization to help implement, refine, and enforce State, Federal and CCC standard operating procedures that promote organization, team culture and productivity. Ideal candidates should have a passion for cannabis, be energetic, have a positive attitude and are willing to work hard. We are looking for a very people-oriented leader with proven retail sales experience and the motivation to take their career to the next level. In this high-profile role you'll collaborate with all vertically integrated departments including compliance management and our leadership team. The pay for this role is $19/hour.

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of 1+ years in cannabis industry

  • High School Diploma or a General Education Degree
  • Computer Experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in retail sales management.
  • Must be authorized to live and work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Stand for up to six (6) hours at a time

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring that all Retail Leads are familiar with Opening & Closing procedures.
  • Ensure that RLs know how to properly bring products to the Sales Floor, keeping a focus on damage prevention
  • Ensure that RLs know how to properly put away Inventory so that it is ready for the morning team
  • Ensure that all RLs know to how open Cash Drawers to commence business
  • Ensure that all RLs are aware of auditing procedures and how to make sure that each Cash Drawer is in balance and ready for usage
  • Ensure that all RLs are comfortable with the revenue portion, Store Balancing, at end of shift. Each RL should be well versed in noticing payment discrepancies and how to rectify them so that cash matches what is shown on Blaze Closing Report
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently communicate with Team and management
  • Ability to foster good working relationships creating an amicable work environment
  • Must be able to coach and RLs and Budtenders to become more accurate with their positions and responsibilities
  • Must have attention to detail
  • Must be familiar with Word, Excel and reading/interpreting Blaze reports
  • Should be able to exhibit leadership skills and have the practical skills to utilize this in the workplace
  • Participate in refining and implementing best operational procedures, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Supervise, train and direct the dispensary retail sales team.
  • Educate the team according to company guidelines, conduct performance reviews, and establish performance improvement plans when necessary.
  • Inspire the team to deliver the best customer experience.
  • Ensure the safety and satisfaction of both customers and employees.
  • Maintain an in-depth industry wide knowledge of products and strains in Massachusetts.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the current cannabis laws and regulations.
  • Educate yourself and the team on cannabis products and consumption methods.
  • Oversee and manage quality product inventory and conduct opening/closing inventory counts and audits.
  • Assist budtenders with counting cash and balancing tills at end of shift.
  • Manage financial records and cash handling procedures.
  • Ensure the dispensary remains compliant with security, inventory and local and state regulations including effectively leading state inspectors through the facility.
  • Maintain records for all necessary documents: delivery and inventory manifests, inventory counts, necessary employee and customer information, destruction reports, etc.
  • Actively engage and support the community by participating in community events hosted by the company.
