About The Position

MN Custom Homes is a premier luxury homebuilder dedicated to crafting residences of distinction, blending timeless architecture, modern innovation, and exceptional craftsmanship. As a Lead, Brand and Communications Manager with MN Custom Homes, you will elevate our brand presence, strengthen relationships with media and stakeholders, and ensure consistent messaging across all internal and external channels. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing brand messaging, plus overseeing our brand identity, brand values, and brand positioning. You will own our public relations strategy, focusing on driving high-quality and engaging communications with both internal and external partners. Additionally, you will oversee market research to drive customer insights, using both qualitative and quantitative methods. This individual contributor role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for brand marketing and a proven ability to create and drive effective, strong communications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 10 years of marketing experience, specifically in Brand and/or Communications roles. Experience in ecommerce/digital marketing a plus.
  • This position requires frequent use of a computer, including keyboard functions and visual acuity of 20 inches or fewer on a daily basis.
  • Must be able to work in the HQ office five days a week, Monday – Friday, core business hours of 8 hours on workdays, within the time frame of 8 am – 5 pm.
  • Minimal to occasional local travel within the Bellevue and Eastside region.

Nice To Haves

  • Brand management experience, including working with brand agencies, creating brand identity, developing brand values/promise, and driving brand positioning.
  • Demonstrated history of managing internal and external communications for a medium-sized company. This includes PR strategy/efforts/campaigns, press releases, and overseeing PR agency.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving qualified traffic and leads through marketing campaigns, both online and offline, is a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively. Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience launching a company’s brand into a new market/geography is a strong plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights. Strong understanding of data analysis and marketing performance metrics such as CTR, ROI, CPA, LTV, is a plus.
  • Proficiency with marketing tools such as HubSpot, WordPress, Canva, Google Analytics, Asana, Survey Monkey, SalesForce, and others is a strong plus.
  • Possesses a growth mindset, innovative thinking, and collaborative spirit.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Experience working for a homebuilder is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Brand Strategy – Shape and protect the company’s brand identity and values, ensuring a consistent and elevated presence across all communications and marketing channels.
  • Public Relations – Build and maintain media relationships, oversee press releases and award submissions, and drive positive coverage that enhances the company’s reputation.
  • Communications – Lead internal and external communications, including executive messaging, employee updates, and community relations, ensuring clarity and alignment with company values.
  • Market Research & Insights – Conduct market research and analyze customer insights to inform strategy, strengthen positioning, and identify opportunities for growth. Drive market research to understand consumer preferences, NPS scores, target audiences, industry trends, and competitive landscapes.
  • Collaboration & Leadership – Manage agency partners, align cross-department initiatives, monitor results, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Expansion – Work with company leadership to drive marketing and brand strategy as the company expands into new markets.
  • Models and reinforces actions and behaviors consistent with the MN Custom Homes’ values, mission, and culture.
