About The Position

Aveanna Education Services (AES) is seeking Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to lead an ABA-based early intervention clinic/classroom being run by the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU). The clinic/classroom will provide Intensive Behavior Health Services (IBHS) to children ages 3-5, integrated closely with early intervention services. This full-day program aims to ensure a seamless transition between pre-school special education classrooms and the clinic setting, promoting continuous skill development.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
  • Board Certification in Behavior Analysis (BCBA).
  • Licensed Behavior Specialist in PA
  • Experience in conducting assessments and developing individualized treatment plans for young children with developmental and behavioral challenges.
  • Strong understanding of ABA principles and techniques, including DTT, NET, and PRT.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with children, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in data collection and analysis tools.

  • Experience working in a school or clinical setting with early intervention programs.

Responsibilities

  • Assessment and Individualized Treatment Planning
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments using tools such as the VB-MAPP (Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program).
  • Develop customized plans for each child based on assessment results, addressing specific needs, goals, and strengths.
  • Review and update these plans quarterly.
  • Behavioral Interventions
  • Implement evidence-based interventions such as Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Natural Environment Training (NET), and Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT).
  • Utilize proactive strategies to promote desirable behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors, incorporating Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs).
  • Skill Acquisition Programs
  • Enhance verbal and non-verbal communication using techniques like the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices through a verbal behavior model.
  • Facilitate structured playgroups, peer modeling, and social stories to foster interaction and social understanding.
  • Provide training in activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, feeding, and toileting, to promote independence.
  • Data Collection and Progress Monitoring
  • Continuously collect data on target behaviors and skills using digital tools and software for efficient tracking.
  • Conduct weekly team meetings to discuss progress, update ITPs, and adjust interventions as needed.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and complete daily clinical notes to ensure accurate records and facilitate billing for services.
  • Family Involvement and Training
  • Conduct workshops and one-on-one training sessions to empower parents with ABA techniques and strategies.
  • Extend clinic programs into the home environment through regular consultation and support.
  • Collaborative Approach
  • Coordinate with BCBAs, Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs), Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and special education teachers.
  • Ensure seamless collaboration with early intervention programs to maintain consistency across settings.
  • Supervision and Training
  • Provide supervision and training to Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs), ensuring they effectively implement ITPs and utilize ABA techniques.
  • Provide the specified amount of services as detailed in each student's Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP).
