About The Position

In addition to assuming the responsibilities of a Behavioral Health Technician, The Lead Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for the training of all new Behavioral Health Technicians, supervises and is held accountable for the floor, and acts as the liaison between the Leadership team and the Behavioral Health Technicians.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity
  • 3+ years of experience in face-to-face client-based interaction work
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Valid CPR, First Aid, and CPI certifications or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
  • Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain upon 60 days of hire
  • A heightened sensitivity and compassion when working with our clients
  • Ability to provide judgment-free care to all
  • Ability to practice good judgment and effective problem-solving skills
  • Effective communicator and solution-focused team leader
  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional disposition
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • High School Diploma/GED

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience working in behavioral health
  • Education focused on nursing, psychology, social services

Responsibilities

  • Trains all new behavioral health technicians on duties, responsibilities, and competencies upon hire
  • Assumes responsibility for the floor and acts as the point person to answer questions and give direction to behavioral health technicians
  • Ensures monthly attendance at required BHT Supervision
  • Provides basic nursing care, aids with activities of daily living, and assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment
  • Participates in Performance Improvement Initiatives in areas such as: patient education, staff development, team building, and program development and improvement
  • Assumes the duty as Patient Advocate
  • Assists with Intakes and Admissions
  • Documents patient care timely and objectively
  • Facilitates group and individual activities for patients and documents treatment
  • Identifies and reports any medical or behavioral issues to multidisciplinary team
  • Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information
  • Other duties as assigned
