The LBT serves as a direct support and “go-to” between the team of RBTs and the remote BCBA (and in-house BCBA, as needed). To be successful in this role, you will display a compassionate nature, empathy and discretion in your work. You should have excellent communication and time management skills, and be able to develop and maintain relationships with clients, supervisors and colleagues. This role is considered a leadership role, and you will be expected to demonstrate leadership qualities around confidentiality around the feedback and support you provide your fellow RBTs, support, redirect and address conflict and ability to remain solution focused. Given the LBS’s skillset, they will support other Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) providing direct implementation of behavior-analytic services and provide feedback and additional support to the case BCBA. The LBT does not design intervention or assessment plans. It is the responsibility of the BCBA to determine which tasks an RBT may perform as a function of his or her training, experience, and competence.
