This position involves working directly in a residential therapeutic setting with individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder who require behavior stabilization. Staff are required to constantly engage with and supervise individuals, implementing programs specific to their Individual Plans (IPs), Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) for teaching expected behavior and life skills, and highly structured Behavior Support Plans. Crisis intervention for issues like self-injury, aggression, and disruptive behavior is likely. The Lead Behavior Technician will ensure the treatment team functions smoothly and all daily requirements are met on each shift. An on-call rotation is required for this role.
