About The Position
The bartender position at Harrah's is a vital role responsible for providing exceptional service to guests and team members in a fine dining environment. The bartender will prepare and pour drinks for guests, servers, and cocktail/beverage servers, ensuring that every drink is crafted to perfection and served in a timely manner. This role requires a friendly demeanor and the ability to manage multiple customer demands simultaneously while maintaining a professional attitude. The bartender will also be responsible for properly stocking products and managing inventory, which includes creating daily pars for stocking and assisting management with inventory checks for beer, wine, and spirits. In addition to drink preparation, the bartender will engage with guests, providing entertainment through flair pouring and conversation, and sharing information about current events, promotions, and attractions. Training, managing, and coaching other bartenders and bar porters is also a key responsibility, ensuring that the bar team operates efficiently and professionally. The bartender will handle cash transactions, accurately processing payments and providing receipts to customers. Ongoing training in the beverage field is essential to stay updated with industry standards and practices. The position demands physical stamina, as bartenders must stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and work in a dynamic environment that may include loud noises and secondhand smoke. The ability to communicate effectively in English is crucial, as is the capability to perform various physical tasks related to drink preparation and bar maintenance.
