About The Position

Café Leon Dore is looking for a skilled Lead Barista to join the team in Los Angeles. As a lead barista you get to mentor, train, and inspire the rest of the team as well as work closely with the Cafe Manager to deliver great tasting coffee and guest experience.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Barista or the ability to demonstrate exceptional knowledge in the field
Keen attention to detail
Ability to pour latte art
Passion in teaching
Demonstrate a passion for exceptional customer service and experience
Computer and till system literate
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with ability to multi-task in a busy environment
Flexible working hours

Responsibilities

Dial in our espresso machine and grinder daily in order to meet brand standards and deliver a high-quality product
Lead trainings for new and existing baristas team members to meet brand standards
Communicate stock pars to cafe manager
Showcase an excellent understanding of the menu, delivering food and beverages as per brand expectations
Maintain all café standards from opening to closing whilst adhering to relevant health and safety standards
Perform opening procedures as instructed, brewing coffee and tea, dusting and cleaning all display cases and ensuring storefront is up to standard.
Complete and send daily opening and closing recaps to executives
Greet customers with a genuine and warm welcome
Offer answers to questions and concerns with patience, confidence and professionalism
Maintain professional image while on duty with well grooming hygiene and prescribed uniform
Influence a fun and positive atmosphere by being approachable and professional
