About The Position

OleOle is developing a completely free social network and messaging platform for football (Soccer), sports first super app. The primary revenue model will be gambling focused on in match play. A completely different model than the existing leaders, we are using the Stake.com blockchain strategy. E-commerce similar to WeChat will also drive significant revenue. We intend to operate our own crypto marketplace and our own NFT marketplace, not to mention the mini program marketplace. OleOle is building a decentralized social network and messaging platform for global football fans — think Twitter + WhatsApp + TikTok + theScore + WeChat, built natively using Rust, WebAssembly, and blockchain-compatible architecture. Our mission is to disrupt the global sports ecosystem by empowering fans, clubs, and brands to connect, transact, and create — all without middlemen. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a founding engineer at a startup aiming to reshape how sports communities engage digitally — from the Champions League to the World Cup.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong production Rust skills (not just hobby projects)
• Solid understanding of REST and GraphQL (able to explain trade-offs)
• PostgreSQL experience
• Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, etc.)
• Experience with agile or scrum workflows and multiple types of testing

Nice To Haves

• Rust + GraphQL experience (substantial bonus)
• ETL/ELT pipeline development
• Experience processing, storing, or serving large volumes of video content on AWS

Responsibilities

• Develop backend services in Rust (non-blockchain; token experience a plus)
• Design and implement APIs (REST and/or GraphQL)
• Build and maintain PostgreSQL data stores
• Deploy and scale systems on AWS
• Participate in the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC): requirements, design, coding, testing (unit, integration, end-to-end), and release
• Work on optional projects: ETL/ELT data pipelines, large-scale video processing/storage/serving on AWS
