About The Position

Job Description Lead adherence to Manheim’s Standard Operating Procedures. May provide general guidance/direction or train associates in supporting roles or less experienced associates. Perform quality control checks on all work; notify immediate supervision of exceptional or unsatisfactory work, employee-related problems or other factors hindering work accomplishment. Orient, train and instruct new and current employees regarding job functions/tasks expected of them, when needed. Provide support for estimate content or produces repair estimates as needed. Assist with inventory management and ensures that all shop equipment, supplies and tools are in good, clean working order always. Perform work as a producing technician for the shop in his/her area of expertise (body, mechanical, paint, detail, etc.). Responsible for producing quality work output aligned with Manheim quality standards and operating procedures. Report theft, damage, or any/all safety concerns to management. Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such. Work in cooperation with safety leadership in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence. Lead responsibility for safety, compliance with OSHA, EPA and all local codes in conjunction with shop manager. Work with manager to review work volumes, plan and continuously monitor staffing levels to ensure efficiency, quality work product, and effective customer service; review departmental performance against key performance indicators and metrics and develop and execute strategies for improvement. Effectively leads the team at the location by setting an example in behavior, championing Cox/Manheim values and ensuring that all employees are treated with respect. Enforce all company policies and procedures related to employee and customer conduct. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver’s License and safe driving record required.
  • 7+ years of vehicle service and repair experience; 1 year of customer service experience preferred.
  • Must continue training to meet with technology and automotive changes as they occur.
  • Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear.
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb.
  • Vision abilities required include close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Requires physical ability and mental acuity to execute the duties of the position successfully within the timeframes needed to meet business requirements
  • To be employed in this role, you’ll need to clear a pre-employment drug test.
