The Lead Automation Engineer (Lead Software Developer) position involves providing high-level technical input and guidance to developers, project teams, and business units on complex aspects of project definition, applications design, implementation, integration, cost estimation, standardization, and support. The role includes responsibilities such as program design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation, with a focus on quality assurance review. The Lead Automation Engineer will oversee the design, development, and deployment of high-complexity automation solutions across the organization, manage service requests, and define the strategic roadmap for automation initiatives. Additionally, the role requires managing incident and change management processes, ensuring compliance with security requirements, and mentoring automation engineers.

  • Provides high level technical input and guidance to developers, project teams, and business units.
  • Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations.
  • Responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of high-complexity automation solutions.
  • Define the strategic roadmap for automation initiatives, establishing performance standards and best practices.
  • Manage the end-to-end incident and change management process using ITIL standards.
  • Ensure that all automation solutions meet stringent security and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate teams using modern development methodologies such as SCRUM/Agile.
  • Mentor and coach automation engineers at all levels.
  • Liaise with business stakeholders to align automation projects with strategic business objectives.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics or related technical field or equivalent years of experience required.
  • 7-10 years of prior relevant experience required.
  • .NET/C#, Python, UI Path, Web Services, Visual Studio, Visual SourceSafe and/or Team Foundation Server, JavaScript, HTML 5.0, SQL Server/TSQL, Agile Methodology, SCRUM, Java, XML, Oracle/PL-SQL, Portlet Development.
  • Experience building with AI Agents and Orchestration in a production environment.
  • Experience building monitoring and evaluations solutions.
  • Knowledge of Finance/Credit union processes.
  • Competitive salary range of $127,961.00 - $211,136.00.
