The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) is seeking a skilled professional to maintain and continuously automate a large, complex virtualization and cloud-based computing environment. This role involves providing technical guidance within the team on networking and serving as a technical liaison between internal departments. The successful candidate will utilize best practices for the management, architecture, configuration, disaster recovery, administration, and automation of the enterprise server virtualization environment with cloud technologies. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and building the business’s cloud infrastructure architecture, as well as developing and maintaining a library of deployable, tested, and documented automation design scripts, processes, and procedures. The role also requires the development and maintenance of CI/CD frameworks from code to deploy using Jenkins to speed the development process through automation. Additionally, the candidate will set up Jenkins pipelines for Terraform automation and Ansible automation, enabling build triggers to apply changes to the AWS platform. Kubernetes administration and support, designing Rancher architecture on-prem and AWS, and troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues related to cluster availability, performance, application deployments, and scheduling are also key responsibilities. The position requires defining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for configuration changes, networking, storage, and security utilizing AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform. Documentation of relevant operating procedures and processes is essential, along with providing professional input for cloud and virtualization end-to-end architecture and IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions for future state. The role includes implementing production changes during maintenance windows and supporting on-call rotation. Up to 40% telecommuting is permitted.
