About The Position

The Club Assembly Lead is charged with assisting the department Supervisor in leading and training the other members of the team in golf club operations. This role requires a subject matter expert (SME) who maintains a high degree of technical proficiency in the assigned area to guide and mentor others without taking on a supervisory role. The lead will assist management with motivating co-workers, communicating the strategic direction along with the required work projects to team members, and ensuring that tasks are assigned based on knowledge of their skills and talents. The lead will also provide on-the-job training and new-hire orientation on team processes, ensuring that the team is proficient in accomplishing assigned tasks. Daily operational guidance will be provided, and the lead will serve as an intermediary between staff members and management. The role involves monitoring assembly processes, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), and supporting company policies and procedures, including health and safety standards. The lead will be in constant contact with various departments and must be prepared to work daily overtime and on weekends as required by business needs.

Requirements

  • High School or equivalent education.
  • Sufficient experience to demonstrate an above-average ability to perform golf club assembly tasks.
  • Previous experience across the entire stock and custom process, including pulling and rework.
  • Experience training other associates on golf club assembly and providing constructive feedback.
  • Previous experience as a supervisor or lead of staff preferred but not required.
  • Strong ability to learn new skills and stand for the full work shift.
  • Exhibit professionalism in interactions with others.
  • Read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Follow manufacturing/equipment specifications and perform basic math calculations.
  • Use a computer and understand measuring devices/tolerances.
  • Use various hand and power tools and machine tools such as drills, lathes, and millers.

  • Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in quality control and assurance processes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist department supervisor in ensuring assembler associate training is performed according to SOPs.
  • Monitor assembly process to ensure SOPs are being followed in all areas.
  • Communicate closely with supervisor regarding associate attendance, performance, production issues, and concerns.
  • Support company policies and procedures, including health and safety standards.
  • Ensure smooth flow of daily production and participate in cycle count events.
  • Lead must be in constant contact with various departments as needed.
  • Be prepared to work daily overtime and on weekends as required.
