Open Circle Adult Day Services, Cassia groups, is hiring a Leader Art Program Coordinator to join us in Minneapolis, MN! Join us at Open Circle of Heritage Park, one of the first public housing community in the country to offer housing and services to older adults with low income. This is a unique position that will be based at Heritage Commons and includes traveling to our 5 other Open Circle Adult Day Services located at Minneapolis, Hopkins, Apple Valley, Buffalo and Princeton. As a Lead Art Program Coordinator at Open Circle of Heritage Park, you will plan, coordinates, and oversee engaging art and wellness programs that enrich the lives of our residents. You will also be traveling bi-monthly to our 5 other locations. This role works closely with Center leadership to ensure creative, meaningful, and well-executed programming across all centers. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, collaborative, and passionate about working with older adults. Position Type: Full-Time, benefit eligible position working traveling to each location bi-monthly. No Weekends, No Nights, No Holidays! Starting Wage: $24 / hour Shift Available: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Location: 350 Van White Memorial Blvd, Minneapolis MN 55405

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in art required!
  • Able to maintain confidential information regarding members' personal and medical information.
  • Able to maintain open communication with participants, families, physicians, and Cassia staff.
  • Able to work as a team member.
  • Able to use related software programs.
  • Awareness of all moral and legal implications of the Member (Participant) Rights and Vulnerable Adult Act.
  • Is aware of safety issues and strives to perform all duties in a safe manner.
  • Dependable, responsible and professional.

Nice To Haves

  • Successful experience with working with older adults and/or working with persons living with dementia preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for coordinating the monthly activity calendar with Lead Program Coordinators, to ensure creative arts are included on the activity plans.
  • Assist Program Coordinators with creation of art programming.
  • Responsible to submit appropriate check requests to Center Directors for program activities. assisting with scheduling transportation for community outings.
  • Responsible for assigning staff (including Program Coordinators and Personal Care Coordinators) to coordinate art programs
  • Plans, Implements, and reviews planned art programs to all 5 centers on a rotating bi-monthly schedule
  • Plans, Implements and reviews planned activities of all areas of wellness.
  • Assumes responsibility in making sure scheduled programs are appropriately carried out as planned.
  • Assists the Center Director/Director of Therapeutic Programing with creating partnerships with vendors for other program-related services and entertainment.
