This role involves working with a team of systems engineers and software developers to specify, design, develop, test, and deploy end-state systems in an iterative fashion using scrum techniques within an AWS environment. The Lead Architect will communicate with leadership, adjust direction based on requirements, and provide innovative solutions and guidance for software and system design.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- 15+ yrs of related experience
- Deep knowledge of AWS Cloud architecture and services
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate) certification
- TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance
- US Citizenship Required
Nice To Haves
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional) certification
- Knowledge of Azure, Google and Oracle cloud service offerings
Responsibilities
- Work with a team of systems engineers and software developers to specify, design, develop, test and deploy the end-state system
- Development will take place in an iterative fashion using scrum techniques with inputs from multiple stakeholders
- The work will be done in a dynamic stakeholder environment within AWS
- Communicate with team leads and senior leadership and rapidly adjust direction in support of new and/or changing requirements
- Design and guide the implementation and maintenance of JAVA Microservices
- Architect data integration from one system to another via REST API
- Become an expert on an AWS data workflow that includes AWS Lambda, S3, and other such technologies; as well as other cloud providers
- Architect and design the ingestion and normalization of data from multiple data sources
- Develop technical documentation and briefing materials to support program status reviews, control gates, and other presentations as directed by program management
- Work with other enterprise service programs to leverage their capabilities via web services integration
- Architect and coordinate the monitoring of applications in production
- Participate in code reviews
- Creates and designs innovative software updates, refinement, testing and debugging processes to meet business needs
- Utilizes the comprehensive analysis of project specification, activity, and status to create and design highly ingenious software systems
- Provides highly ingenious and overarching advice on the documentation of the software or system design
