The Digital Workspace Technologies Lead Architect is responsible for shaping the strategy, design, development, and delivery of the organization’s digital workspace infrastructure, software, and services. This role oversees the architecture and implementation of the core technologies that enable developers, employees, and guests to work securely, efficiently, and effectively. As a subject matter expert, the Lead Architect collaborates with leaders and cross-functional partners—including digital workspace teams, vendors, application delivery groups, property technology, and security—to address complex challenges and drive high-quality service delivery. The role reports directly to the Director of Digital Workspace Services.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive architectural roadmaps for digital workspace technologies aligned with business objectives and IT strategy.
  • Lead architecture for workspace operating systems, VDI, thin clients, and endpoint management (Intune, Jamf, etc.), ensuring scalability, stability, and security.
  • Oversee application packaging, patching, and device management strategies to streamline updates and support a secure, distributed workforce.
  • Optimize and govern productivity and collaboration platforms—including Office 365, Exchange, SharePoint, Power Platform, and related tools—to enhance user experience and efficiency.
  • Define and manage KPIs, SLAs, and governance standards to ensure digital workspace services consistently meet performance and reliability expectations.
  • Monitor emerging technologies and guide strategic planning to maximize ROI, drive innovation, and maintain a competitive digital workspace ecosystem.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Software Engineering; Master’s in Information Technology preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience delivering end-user computing (EUC) and digital workspace solutions, with at least 2+ years in IT architecture focused on EUC technologies.
  • Proven ability to lead architectural initiatives in large enterprise environments, including VDI, application packaging, patch management, and endpoint security.
  • Strong expertise in deploying and managing enterprise productivity ecosystems, including Office 365, SharePoint, Exchange, and related collaboration platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Intune, Entra ID, Git/GitHub workflows, and enterprise browser management, supported by relevant certifications (e.g., Intune, Citrix).
  • Demonstrated capability to architect secure, scalable digital workspace services that meet corporate standards and operational requirements.
  • Master’s in Information Technology preferred.
