About The Position
The Lead Aquatic Pump Mechanic position at the City of Tucson’s Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for maintaining, repairing and inspecting pumps and other aquatic mechanical related equipment to ensure the safe and efficient operation of pool and splash pads serving a high volume of public users. This position works on a variety of equipment that is involved in water management, filtering, backwashing, heating and chemical treatment, to maintain water quality and support a safe recreational environment. Work is performed under the supervision of the Aquatics Parks Area Supervisor. This position leads and instructs the daily operational work of division personnel.
