The Lead, Applications & IT Systems is accountable for the end‑to‑end performance, stability, and lifecycle of Potash’s business applications. This role provides strategic direction, technical leadership, and operational oversight to ensure applications are reliable, secure, cost‑effective, and continuously improved in alignment with BHP’s technology strategy and operational needs. In this role, you will: Lead end‑to‑end application management, including support (L1–L3), stability, performance, incident/problem/change management. Ensure secure, reliable, and high‑performing systems through proactive monitoring, risk mitigation, and governance. Own the full lifecycle of mining applications—strategy, design, build, operations, optimisation, upgrades, and decommissioning. Identify opportunities to simplify, consolidate, and modernise applications to enhance performance, reduce cost, and improve user experience. Set strategic direction for the application portfolio, ensuring alignment with business plans and enterprise architecture. Lead cross‑functional technical issue resolution to minimise operational impact. Manage vendor partnerships, ensuring SLA compliance, performance quality, and value for money. Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team, driving capability uplift and accountability. Establish and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and performance targets, proactively addressing gaps and risks. Work LocationDowntown, Saskatoon office. 40 hours per week. Hybrid working (flexible, shared workstations and a combination of office and work from home) is standard for BHP. This position will require regular travel to the Jansen Mine Site. The roster schedule may be adjusted based on business requirements or as operations progress.
