About The Position

We are seeking a seasoned Lead Application Developer to design, develop, and deliver enterprise-grade applications leveraging low-code platforms such as Appian. This role involves technical leadership, mentoring developers, and ensuring best practices in architecture, integration, and performance optimization. You will collaborate with business stakeholders and global teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions while driving innovation and quality. This role is part of the Center of Excellence (COE).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or technically related field, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • 8+ years of experience in application development, with at least 3+ years low-code platforms like Appian.
  • Domain knowledge in Financial Services.
  • Appian certifications (Lead Developer or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with JIRA and Agile delivery frameworks.
  • Experience with cloud deployment and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, API development, and system integrations.
  • Expertise in building reports and dashboards for business insights.

Responsibilities

  • Designs multi-application solutions.
  • Coordinates extensive projects with all relevant personnel and management.
  • May be a subject matter expert for specific areas, applications or technologies.
  • Analyzes requirements for major projects involving multiple components internal and external to the division.
  • Selects appropriate solutions.
  • Accountable for product and tool selection.
  • Models cross-functional and divisional business processes and enterprise data.
  • Identifies and implements appropriate technology across the organization or directs others in these activities.
  • Creates test strategies for cross application or solutions.
  • May lead discussions with clients, management, co-workers, operations, technical support and vendors.
  • Performs major software analysis.
  • Proactively recommends solutions which take into consideration costs, business needs, and system impacts.
  • Leads analysis and general architectural design across platforms and divisions.
  • Demonstrates exceptional negotiation and persuasion skills across the organization and company.
  • Takes leadership role in product and tool selection and the development of specifications for new and existing systems.
  • May have supervisory responsibility over employees.
