Teachers will plan, present, and evaluate educational and recreational activities for childcare in a safe environment. Teachers work directly with children and parents daily to provide quality customer service.

Requirements

Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred
1-2 years of previous experience preferred
Has successfully completed state-required pre-service training
Develops relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and faculty members
Ability to calmly address stressful situations professionally while multi-tasking to ensure smooth school operations
Meets background check eligibility

Responsibilities

Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, effectively and professionally with school personnel, children, and parents
Ability to understand and support the education program using “learning through play” philosophy
Ability to keep children within sight and sound supervision at all times
Ability to change children’s diapers and/or assist with toileting (where necessary)
Ability to lift items/children ~50 pounds
Ability to multitask in a lively environment and work well within a team
Ability to handle crisis situations, including assisting in evacuating the building during emergencies
