Teachers will plan, present, and evaluate educational and recreational activities for childcare in a safe environment. Teachers work directly with children and parents daily to provide quality customer service.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred
  • 1-2 years of previous experience preferred
  • Has successfully completed state-required pre-service training
  • Develops relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and faculty members
  • Ability to calmly address stressful situations professionally while multi-tasking to ensure smooth school operations
  • Meets background check eligibility

Responsibilities

  • Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, effectively and professionally with school personnel, children, and parents
  • Ability to understand and support the education program using “learning through play” philosophy
  • Ability to keep children within sight and sound supervision at all times
  • Ability to change children’s diapers and/or assist with toileting (where necessary)
  • Ability to lift items/children ~50 pounds
  • Ability to multitask in a lively environment and work well within a team
  • Ability to handle crisis situations, including assisting in evacuating the building during emergencies
