Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled transmission analyst to join our Transmission Trading team. As an analyst in Transmission Trading team, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing and refining analytical models to improve our transmission trading strategies and profitability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Economics.
• Advanced degree is highly desirable.
• Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of electric power system
• Robust mathematical skill and ability to process large amounts of information to synthetize it into actionable commercial decisions
• Thorough knowledge of the power grid physics and market structures in CAISO/MISO/PJM
• Strong programming skills in any languages such as Python, R, SAS
• Experience or coursework in the following areas are applicable to above skills: Power system modeling and Steady state power flow analysis (powerworld or PSSE experience) Production Cost modeling (SCUC, SCED and nodal theory etc) Statistics, probability and machine learning Algorithm and process design

Responsibilities

• Provide transmission risk Point of view to groups such as CAISO/MISO/PJM Power Trading, Origination and Development for commercial operations and Regulatory to improve the performance of the market and reliability of the system
• Support the renewable project development efforts related to interconnection analysis
• Perform all tasks while following all external regulations and internal risk policy of Vistra Corp
