About The Position

We are seeking a Product Manager (Lead Analyst) to join our Global Equities Trading Product Team, responsible for managing a suite of technology products that support our sell-side institutional trading business. This role combines strategic ownership and hands-on delivery, balancing product planning with direct coordination across technology, compliance, trading and trade operations and third-party vendor partners. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of trading technology, particularly around regulatory frameworks such as Reg SHO, SEC Rule 15c3-5, trade surveillance, order routing controls, and best execution requirements. You will work closely with senior product leaders, trading desk heads, compliance and risk officers, vendor relationship managers and trading technology engineers to define business requirements, oversee enhancements, and ensure platform compliance with evolving regulations and market structure changes. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of business, technology, and regulation—capable of managing product outcomes, influencing direction, and driving the delivery of compliant, efficient trading solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • 5–8 years of experience in product management, product ownership, or trading technology roles within a sell-side institutional equities environment.
  • Direct experience supporting regulatory, compliance, or market access technology initiatives required.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of institutional equities trading systems (order management, execution management, market access, smart routing).
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks governing sell-side trading, including Reg SHO, SEC Rule 15c3-5 (Market Access Rule), CAT reporting, and trade surveillance.
  • Knowledge of trading workflows, market structure, and the interaction between front-, middle-, and back-office processes.
  • Knowledge of risk and compliance practices relevant to broker-dealer operations.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) concepts and release management.
  • Knowledge of principles of product lifecycle management, product delivery, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a small portfolio of Global Equities trading, compliance or supervision products (primarily vendor SaaS or COTS platforms), ensuring alignment with business needs, regulatory requirements, and operational efficiency goals.
  • Collaborate with trading desks, compliance, supervision, risk, and technology and vendor partners to define product requirements.
  • Translate business and regulatory requirements into clear technical specifications and implementation plans.
  • Coordinate with external vendors to manage product roadmaps, release schedules, and contractual deliverables, ensuring alignment with Raymond James standards for performance, security, and compliance.
  • Partner with engineering teams to plan and deliver product releases, ensuring stability and regulatory compliance in production environments.
  • Maintain and prioritize a feature backlog that balances compliance-driven mandates, technical debt reduction, and business enhancements.
  • Support end-to-end delivery from requirements definition through release, testing, and post-deployment validation.
  • Oversee operational readiness for new functionality, including training or user/product guides for trading, middle office teams, and application and technology support teams.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory projects, coordinating with compliance and trading teams to interpret rule changes and assess product impacts.
  • Manage vendor escalations and contribute to vendor performance reviews, service-level discussions, and audit documentation.
  • Identify and drive process improvements or automation opportunities that enhance control, efficiency, or monitoring capabilities within the trading ecosystem.
  • Communicate product or project objectives, status updates, and risks effectively across senior business and technology stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior analysts and provide subject matter expertise on institutional trading workflows, compliance processes, and order flow management.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $100,000.00-$175,000.00.
  • Hybrid work model with in-office expectations.
  • Professional development opportunities.
  • Supportive work culture focused on diversity and inclusion.
