Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Alternative Investment Consultant in the Alternative Investments group as part of Wealth & Investment Management (WIM). This role focuses on educating and consulting with Wells Fargo Investment Professionals and their clients on various Alternative Investment products, including hedge funds, private equity, and private real estate. The consultant will work to enhance the investment knowledge of professionals and provide guidance on suitable investments to meet client objectives.

  • Increase the investment acumen of Investment Professionals related to alternative investments.
  • Educate on new product offerings and support existing platform offerings.
  • Regularly meet with Investment Professionals and clients to provide guidance on alternative investments.
  • Lead complex initiatives involving education and consultation with financial advisors and clients.
  • Build visibility around the Alternative Investment platform with less familiar investment professionals.
  • Collaborate with leadership across regions to support alternative investment needs.
  • Review and analyze complex client and investment professional situations.
  • Make decisions in multifaceted situations requiring in-depth evaluation.
  • Deliver presentations and organize meetings for outside fund managers with Investment Professionals.
  • Provide training on new offerings and investment strategy guidance.
  • 5+ years of Wealth Investment Consulting experience or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of wholesale or educational experience with Alternative Investments.
  • Proven experience educating investment professionals and clients on Alternative Investments.
  • Successfully completed FINRA Series 7 and 63 examinations or equivalents.
  • Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) certification or Advanced Financial degree.
  • Advanced communication skills for delivering presentations.
  • Experience in developing partnerships with internal investment professionals and clients.
