About The Position

The Lead Airline Ramp Agent directs, trains, and coordinates an assigned shift for ramp services provided to airlines and charter aircraft. This role requires leading by example, exemplifying integrity, professionalism, and excellent communication skills. The Lead Agent must motivate the team to achieve results while treating people fairly and with respect, demonstrating a strong commitment to customer service.

Requirements

  • Must have a Valid Driver's License.
  • Must pass a 10 year background check and pre-employment drug test.
  • Available to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes, directs, and participates in the Ramp Services operations for both contracted commercial flights and charter aircraft.
  • Directs and trains assigned Ramp Services Agents, including new employee training and ongoing in-service training.
  • Implements departmental policy for Ramp Services operations and advises the Ramp Services Supervisor on policy issues.
  • Coordinates Ramp Services activities with air carrier personnel, station managers, and TSA representatives.
  • Participates in the operation and training of various types of ground equipment.
  • Ensures compliance with FAA and TSA security regulations and airline corporate rules.
  • Maintains emergency checklists and supplies.
  • Prepares and submits verbal and written reports related to ground service activities.
  • Updates Multi-User Flight Information Display System (MUFIDS) as required.
  • Coordinates communications between Airport, airline dispatch personnel, and flight captain.
  • Handles business-related responsibilities involving billing, payment data, and ordering supplies.
