About The Position

Atlantic Health is Seeking a Lead Thoracic Surgery Advanced Practice Professional Atlantic Health, one of New Jersey’s largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking a Lead Advanced Practice Professional (APP) to join North Jersey Thoracic Surgical Associates. This nationally ranked and expanding service line offers a collaborative practice environment with experienced thoracic surgeons and a high volume of cases. The Lead Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will support both inpatient and outpatient care, with responsibilities at Morristown Medical Center, Overlook Medical Center, and a satellite office in Clark, NJ. The role is outpatient, with additional inpatient rounding. The Lead APP functions in a clinical and administrative capacity with a team of 7 Advanced Practice Professionals. Responsibilities include leading clinical education initiatives, creating work schedules, and training new team members. This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday from 8:30am – 4:30pm with additional weekend coverage. This includes minimally invasive surgery programs that result in shorter hospital stays and faster recoveries. In addition, Morristown Medical Center is home to and a state-of-the-art bio skills simulation laboratory that is accredited by the American College of Surgeons for additional staff training.
