About The Position

The Accounting team in our National Support Center (NSC) is looking for a Lead Accountant at their Lafayette Hill, PA office. This is a hybrid role, requiring Tuesday-Thursday in office. Candidates must be local to Lafayette Hill, PA. No relocation assistance provided. Are you an accountant with experience working in large organizations? Do you enjoy analyzing financial information and ensuring compliance? Are you driven by details and deadlines? If so, then we’d like you to join our dedicated team as Lead Accountant. You will: Play a pivotal role in ensuring financial compliance and providing insight into the financial health of the business. Be responsible for general accounting related to monthly close processes, lease accounting, and revenue recognition, amongst other tasks. Support decision making efforts by our 420+ business unit managers, regional management, and senior management by analyzing trends and communicating answers to profit and loss (P&L) issues in a timely manner. Review balance sheets, P&L statements, and other financial reports to ensure accuracy and identify any opportunities. Be responsible for certain period-end close processes, general ledger reconciliations, and consolidations. Lead research and the appropriate application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Implement new technical guidance and analyze and communicate the impact of such new guidance. Be responsible for purchase accounting/acquisition financials. Consolidate and analyze total company financials on a monthly basis. Prepare the annual consolidated global financial report and footnotes, work papers, white papers, etc. Manage all audits including the financial statement audit and prepare pension plan information for the annual pension audit. Develop and present recommendations for the continuous improvement of processes. Prepare ad-hoc financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends. Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs as assigned. Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 7 or more years of accounting experience in large organizations

Nice To Haves

  • CPA highly preferred
  • Have experience in public accounting or corporate finance, particularly with month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Have knowledge and hands on experience with SAP.
  • Have experience with payroll accounting and consolidations.
  • Have experience working in a manufacturing, retail, or distribution company.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a decentralized environment.
  • Be able to exercise sound judgement and take initiative in resolving problems and making recommendations.
  • Be self-motivated and fast learner.
  • Have strong organizational skills with the ability to organize complex projects, manage multiple tasks, and meet established deadlines.
