About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting the supervisor with product flow and process efficiency, product quality, and team member training. Assists supervisors in overseeing daily activity of Warehouse Department employees. Carries out Lead responsibilities in accordance with the organization s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work and resolving problems. Keep all aspects of inventory accurate. Manage housekeeping throughout the warehouse. Managing the workload through JDA by planning and allocating orders. Researching shorts and discrepancies. Giving direction for trucks to load/ unload. Collaborating with SRC for yard and dock management. Working closely with supervisors to resolve issues and maintain smooth workflow. Good email communication. Going on the floor to inspect loads and complete audits. Closing loads on time and accurately providing explanation when loads are late. Driving positive fill rate through managing shorts and inbound volume. Being a champion of safety. Ensuring all paperwork is filled out correctly and compliant with Tyson policy and expectations and is acceptable by audit standards. Other duties include ensuring that all product quality and safety processes are being followed consistently promoting a safe work environment and performing other responsibilities as needed. Following all safety and policy procedures as set forth by Tyson Foods. This position must have a focus on customer service and displays a high standard for professionalism. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to extreme cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by ensuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position will also monitor all equipment to insure it is working properly and notify the supervisor of any needed maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.   • Must have 6 months Lead experience within the last 12 months
