About The Position

The LDAR Technician at HPC-Industrial is responsible for monitoring and maintaining compliance with environmental regulations at industrial facilities, specifically focusing on leak detection and repair (LDAR) processes. This role involves using specialized equipment to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety protocols while providing quality industrial cleaning services.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to wear protective clothing or equipment, including Nomex coveralls and a fresh air breathing mask.
  • Ability to work under extreme climate conditions, including high heat and humidity.
  • Strong mechanical ability.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Knowledge of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) waste codes, manifesting, and Land Disposal Restrictions (LDR).
  • Confined space entry and 40 Hour OSHA Training.
  • Knowledge of RCRA requirements/regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Use an analyzer and electronic data recorder to monitor components on an assigned route within an industrial facility.
  • Calibrate equipment to ensure optimum performance of the analyzer.
  • Identify leaks and process leak tags to maintain compliance with regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and improve customer relations by providing quality and timely industrial cleaning services.
  • Engage in strenuous physical labor, including lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy objects.
  • Set up and operate automatic and/or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation.
  • Monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls to ensure adherence to production/process specifications.
  • Report any malfunctions or abnormalities and make adjustments and repairs to equipment.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by management.
