Atlas is a nationwide leader in civil engineering materials testing and geotechnical consulting services for environmental industrial and infrastructure construction projects Headquartered in Denver CO Atlas currently has over 3500 employees with offices throughout the US including Alaska & Hawaii Its no accident that Atlas creates a better experience for infrastructure and environmental projects Its how we are built with the best people in the industry with the reach and expertise to help at any and every step of the project and with a heart led approach that puts quality and safety at the center of everything we do Were just built to be better We are a great company We are seeking an LDAR Technician to join our Port Arthur TX team Come join us Job responsibilities include but are not limited to The Leak Detection and Repair LDAR Technician will be responsible for office and field support of LDAR projects including Method 21 and Optical Gas Imaging OGI surveysThe technician inspects the facility for any gas leaks and finds any suspicious areas The technician uses special gas analyzers or optical gas imaging cameras to identify where gas may be leaking into the atmosphereThe LDAR Monitoring Technician is responsible for monitoring components on an assigned route within an industrial facility By doing so they can ensure that the equipment and systems are working properly and that safety is maintained This individual is also responsible for maintaining records of all events that occur within the industrial facilityThe LDAR Technician is responsible for conducting air monitoring and emissions measurement activities performing equipment calibrations and maintenance and collecting and organizing field data for air quality compliance and emissions assessment program This individual is also responsible for ensuring that assessments are conducted in a timely manner to ensure compliance with environmental regulations

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma general education development GED or equivalent military service andor technical degrees preferred but not required
  • Demonstration of high integrity and work ethics
  • Must pass a rigorous background check and drug test
  • Must have a valid Drivers License and clean driving record
  • Must be able to work alone lift up to 40 lbs work in adverse weather both hot and cold able to climb and work at heights up to 300 feet
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week plus possible overtime
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills and teamwork abilities
  • Someone with mechanical aptitude who enjoys working in the great outdoors
  • Must be task oriented with the ability to maintain tight schedules

Nice To Haves

  • 2 4 years field experience regarding technical industrial andor oil and gas services preferred but not required
  • Able to read and understanding Piping and Instrument Diagrams P&IDs preferred but not required
  • A self starter capable of managing their own daily schedule
  • Someone reliable who will show up each day and get the job done
  • Good client service skills and an ability to comfortably interact with project stakeholders
