About The Position

The LDA-Video Production Specialist at the Haslam College of Business, University of Tennessee, Knoxville, is responsible for creating high-quality video content to support marketing, public relations, and educational initiatives. This full-time position involves collaborating with faculty and staff to produce promotional and educational videos, ensuring adherence to branding standards, and utilizing advanced video production techniques and equipment.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in video production.
  • Experience with video production equipment and editing software (Adobe Premiere, Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve).
  • Knowledge of virtual education and collaboration platforms and current trends in higher education.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines for multiple projects.
  • Ability to train and coach video talent for optimal performance on camera.
  • Extensive knowledge of video production equipment and the ability to operate it proficiently.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of experience in video production in a higher education or marketing setting.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic media, video production, film, or a related field.
  • Ability to manage a video production studio and related equipment.
  • Ability to produce motion graphics for video production.

Responsibilities

  • Produce promotional and other videos for the college by writing scripts, developing storyboards, directing, filming, editing, captioning, color correcting, and delivering high-quality video products.
  • Train and coach video talent, especially those inexperienced on camera, to deliver professional performances.
  • Strategize with Marketing & Public Relations (MPR) and Graduate & Executive Education (GEE) teams to craft engaging video products from inception to delivery.
  • Produce video content for various platforms including social media, YouTube, and internal services.
  • Operate cameras, teleprompters, lighting, microphones, and other video production equipment.
  • Edit video using software such as Adobe Premiere and Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve.
  • Develop visual tone and on-screen graphics for live and recorded events.
  • Provide video and photography coverage for college meetings, events, workshops, and programs.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production-related problems as they arise.
  • Support the Technology Enhanced Education (TEE) team in producing high-quality video content and improving production processes.
