About The Position
Licensed Clinical Social Workers and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists are encouraged to consider an available PRN / as needed Clinician position with Liberty Healthcare’s forensic mental health program located onsite at the Maguire Correctional Facility – a San Mateo County jail located in Redwood City, CA. This program exclusively serves adults who are justice-involved, experiencing mental illness, and have been determined to be incompetent to stand trial. The goal of this cutting-edge program is to facilitate early access to mental health services, provide rapid stabilization, and restore people to competency efficiently and effectively. As a Clinician, your role will involve: Providing services to program clients one-to-one, in-person, and onsite at the facility Conducting Psychosocial and risk assessments Providing brief treatment primarily focused on symptom management, psychoeducation, and crisis intervention Supporting clients with competency restoration training and education Documenting services and client status in the Liberty’s electronic health record system Participating in treatment team and other meetings Collaborating with clinical, ancillary and security staff This is an “as needed” position offering occasional work in times of peak program utilization and when coverage is needed for staff who are on vacation or other leave. Recently licensed clinicians can expect to be paid $50.00 per hour, and higher hourly pay rates are available for clinicians who are more experienced.
