Requirements

• Master's Degree from a certified Master's program in psychology, counseling, social work, or other related human services degree.
• 1-3 years of clinical experience post master's degree.
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Advanced knowledge and skills in effective psychological practice in primary care medical settings.

• Experience with crisis intervention and risk assessment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and treatment protocols.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities

• Provides high quality clinical services to referred individuals, including short-term evidence-based interventions and support services.
• Conducts brief diagnostic screening of patients using evidence-based assessments and screening tools.
• Provides health behavior change interventions using Motivational Interviewing.
• Consults with providers as part of the interdisciplinary team and generates recommendations, referrals, and case management as needed.
• Conducts safety and risk assessments as needed.
• Generates documentation of assessment and intervention in the medical record in a timely manner.
• Provides education, treatment, and referrals to family members as appropriate.
