This clinician integrates behavioral health services through real-time consultations and brief interventions while maintaining an active presence within the primary care team and facilitating warm handoffs between providers. The role encompasses diagnosis, evaluation, treatment planning, and short-term crisis intervention sessions within a brief program framework, utilizing approaches such as problem-solving therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and substance abuse treatment. It also provides education and develops behavioral change plans to address health-impacting behaviors. As part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, the clinician ensures the seamless coordination of physical and mental healthcare, requiring strong clinical judgment, interpersonal skills, and the ability to maintain high standards in a fast-paced medical environment, while also participating in professional development opportunities. The staff member will also be responsible for providing clinical and administrative oversight to licensed and non-licensed staff.
