About The Position

The LCMS Chemist position at Industrial Laboratories involves performing analytical testing services primarily focused on drug testing for animals. The role requires expertise in various analytical techniques and instrumentation, as well as adherence to regulatory and quality assurance standards. The chemist will work in a newly renovated facility and contribute to method development and validation studies.

Requirements

• Must have experience in the application of LC-MS/MS for compound identification.
• Experience in a laboratory setting and possession of basic laboratory skills are required.
• 3-5 years of instrumentation and professional laboratory experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field such as chemistry, biochemistry, biology, pharmaceutical sciences, or other directly related field is required.
• Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform sample preparation utilizing liquid-liquid and solid phase extraction techniques for animal blood, hair, and urine samples.
• Conduct analysis of samples using HPLC/MS/MS, QTOF/MS, GC/MS, and ICP/MS instrumentation.
• Prepare reference standards and quality control solutions utilizing basic and complex chemistry calculations.
• Interpret and evaluate analytical data from various instrumentation.
• Trouble-shoot and conduct routine maintenance on various instrumentation.
• Participate in method development and validation studies.
• Adhere to and follow all regulatory agency and quality assurance requirements.
