Job Summary: Heavy Equipment Operators (HEOs) must be able to budget time and prioritize work given by various levels of management. They should be able to legally and safely operate the equipment used to load, secure and unload material/equipment and transport to and from various job sites. HEOs should possess the knowledge of rigging and cribbing of equipment and the knowledge and ability to make complicated lifts and to interpret and understand proper industry standard hand signals. Further, HEOs are expected to assist crew members with tasks including but not limited to lifting, spotting, holding, jobsite housekeeping, crew paperwork, etc. as directed by supervision.
