The job involves scheduling and routing Field Operations work orders to appropriate work centers, establishing work priorities, monitoring work progress, and communicating with customers and field crews to optimize field crew productivity and achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Requires two years post secondary education in business administration or a combination of education and related experience providing equivalent competencies.
  • Requires a minimum of two years experience with CenterPoint Energy's work order management and related records systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Education or training specific to natural gas distribution system construction is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes Field Operations workload priorities for a one to fourteen day planning horizon, routes work orders and provides supporting documentation to field crews to achieve optimal field crew productivity and a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Monitors status of routed work orders, reassigns work as required to balance daily workload and communicates with customers and field crews to ensure the service delivery process meets customer expectations.
  • Generates routine pre-construction customer communications that proactively answer customer questions, confirm work status and address concerns relating to the construction process.
  • Responds to customer and field crew inquiries and change requests. Updates SAP as required and takes appropriate action to meet customer requirements.
  • Produces reports and creates list edits to monitor the effectiveness of the service delivery process.
  • Performs various clerical duties including processing invoices, inputting contractor expendable requisitions, creating and mailing pre-construction customer communications, maintaining office supply inventories, processing time sheets and producing main packets to support the overall service delivery process.
  • Performs duties of other Local 12 positions as required to effectively balance workload within the department.
