The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center seeks talented Cross Product Team (CPT) Leads, focused on Life Cycle Engineering (LCE). LCE is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable, Sustainable and delivered on time. LCE consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Life Cycle Engineers participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. In this role, you will plan and execute the sustainment strategy for naval undersea and naval surface programs. You will be responsible for ensuring the LCE roles and responsibilities are executed on time and within budget and will be integrated into the program to ensure sustainment is integrated into the design, production and fielding of the systems.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience.
  • Experience with Reliability, Maintainability, System Safety, Integrated Product Support, and/or Sustainment.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong customer relationships
  • Experience developing sustainment strategy and/or and executing product support activities on DoD naval undersea and/or naval surface platform programs.
  • Experience using cost, schedule and program management tools such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Estimate at Completion (EAC) process, Risk/Opportunity management, or similar tools and processes
  • Experience with leadership and managing multi-disciplined teams
  • Demonstrated comprehensive planning skills with the ability to analyze technical and financial data and reports

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of life cycle engineers with wide range of expertise.
  • Drive LCE activities such that they are executed on time and within budget, resolving issues where needed.
  • Assure defined requirements are consistently met in all phases of the product life cycle and ensure products are highly influenced by life cycle disciplines.
  • Plan the sustainment strategy and develop the roadmap for sustainment activities.
  • Execute the sustainment roadmap, ensuring sustainment is integrated through the life cycle of the program.
  • Interface regularly with Supply Chain, Quality, other functions and the Program Management Team.
  • Lead proposal efforts on all relevant scope and generate inputs.
  • Prepare and present results in reports and briefings to internal or external stakeholders.
  • This position requires domestic travel, which is not expected to exceed 15%.
