The Liquid Phase Division LC/MS team has been at the forefront of developing customer-centric differentiated applications and workflow solutions in the market segments we serve. We are seeking a highly motivated LC/MS applications scientist to join our LC/MS team. The ideal candidate will have experience using LC/MS High-Resolution Accurate Mass (LC-HRAM) and LC/MS Single and Triple Quadrupole instruments and associated software suites for MAM and Biopharma workflows. This position provides the opportunity to develop differentiated workflow solutions in the Biopharma market as well as help Agilent's customers increase their productivity and streamline their analyses. You will be working closely with the R&D team to define system requirement specifications during product development and monitor the implementation.

  • Work with R&D, Marketing, and Sales teams to define application development scope, execute applications, and communicate the value of application solutions to field organizations and customers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry influencers and pivotal customers to increase organizational understanding of customer needs and expectations.
  • Monitor industry trends from a technical perspective and identify gaps between critical customer needs and our product offerings.
  • Develop new workflow solution products that meet the customers' needs and alleviate pain points.
  • Support the LC/MS business by providing support to Agilent personnel and customers through training, presentations, and road shows.
  • Masters or PhD Degree in Chemistry or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of experience in LC/MS application development and customer support with a proven track record of technical knowledge and business understanding.
  • Extensive laboratory experience in biologics characterization.
  • An established record of expertise in Mass Spectrometry products, markets, and customer workflows.
  • Demonstrated expertise in operating LC/HRAM and LC-Triple quadrupole instruments and knowledge of the associated software suite.
  • Demonstrated understanding of customer workflow and applications for the Biopharma market is essential.
  • Demonstrated flexibility as a team player and a proactive approach to performing successfully in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills.
