About The Position
Ready to make a real difference in a middle school setting? We’re seeking a passionate LBS1 Instructor for the remainder of the academic year to provide focused support in a resource classroom environment. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field required
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS1) endorsement.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience working with grade school students and supporting mild to moderate learning needs is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver small-group and individualized instruction in core academic areas to support IEP goals.
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and school-wide initiatives that enhance student outcomes.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum materials and modify instruction for diverse learners.
- Monitor and document student progress, completing IEP updates, data tracking, and progress reports accurately and on time.
- Foster a structured, encouraging, and positive learning environment that promotes student independence and engagement.
