About The Position

The position involves performing general laborer duties at the Raccoon Mountain Pumped Storage facility in Chattanooga, TN. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the hydro plant buildings and grounds, assisting maintenance crews, and operating various plant vehicles and equipment. This role requires physical labor and adherence to safety protocols in an industrial environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of Pumped Storage Hydroelectric Plant experience.
• OSHA 10 certification.
• Concrete pouring and finishing skills.
• Rigging qualified.
• Confined space entry and attendant trained.
• FME trained.
• Safety Assurance knowledge.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Scaffold building experience.
• Clearance Procedure Affected Employee training.

Responsibilities

• Keep hydro plant buildings and grounds clean and orderly.
• Assist plant maintenance crews with various tasks.
• Pick up and remove trash and garbage.
• Sweep and mop floors, stairwells, and walls.
• Set up meeting rooms and perform worksite cleanup duties.
• Operate plant vehicles, forklifts, and aerial lifts.
• Assist in assembly and disassembly of equipment and materials.
• Load and unload plant deliveries.
• Use computers for information management and training purposes.
• Perform routine fire equipment inspections and environmental inspections.
